What is a COA?
Third party lab test results are presented as Certificates of Analysis (COA). These documents provide the breakdown of all cannabinoids in our full spectrum products. We perform various lab tests at multiple stages of the manufacturing process, from raw materials to finished products. The COAs presented here are for potency of finished products.
How to read a COA
Potency is represented as a concentration (“mg/unit”), so to find the total amount of CBD in a product, divide the total CBD content by the number of servings. For example: a 30 mL 1000 mg tincture contains thirty 1 mL servings, so the concentration of CBD should be 1,000 mg / 30 mL or about 33 mg/mL. Some products, like concentrates, are presented as “mg/g” or “%.” In this case, the total CBD content is just the concentration (mg/g or %) multiplied by the number of grams. For example: 1 gram of 80% CBD Shatter has 800 mg of CBD total, or 800 mg/g. If you need help interpreting a COA, feel free to contact us anytime!
